Heirloom Shenot Crown of Thorns gourd seeds; decorative small gourds with starburst, horned projections in mixed colors — perfect for autumn centerpieces, wreaths, and craft projects.
Listing description (long, buyer-facing)
Grow striking Crown of Thorns gourds that form small, starburst fruits with blunt hornlike projections and dramatic color variation; ideal for dried decorations, wreaths, and seasonal craft projects. These heirloom, non‑GMO Shenot seeds produce compact vines that suit smaller gardens and trellised growing. Fruits ripen to a variety of shades — cream, yellow, orange, and green with stripes and bi‑colors — and will hold well when properly cured for decorative use.
Plant in full sun in deep, fertile, well‑drained soil with plenty of compost. Sow seeds 2.5 cm deep in hills spaced about 2.4 m apart or start indoors 3 weeks before transplanting; germination typically occurs within 7–10 days, and plants mature in roughly 110–125 days depending on conditions. Harvest when stems brown and dry, then cure gourds in a warm, dry area until fully hardened for long‑lasting decor.
